Welcome to Chasing Progress, the journey of a mom and her son with Kleefstra syndrome.
My name is Shelly-Ann Savage, and I am the proud mother of a child diagnosed with Kleefstra syndrome, a rare genetic disorder that affects cognitive and physical development. Through this blog, I hope to raise awareness about Kleefstra syndrome and provide support to other families who are going through a similar experience.
My son was officially diagnosed with Kleefstra syndrome when he was six years old, after years of struggling to figure out what was going on with my son. Since then, our family has been on a journey of learning, growth, and progress. We have faced many challenges along the way, but we have also experienced great joys and triumphs.
Through this blog, I aim to share our experiences, thoughts, and insights about raising a child with Kleefstra syndrome. I will write about the highs and lows, the achievements and setbacks, and the lessons we have learned along the way.
My goal is to create a community of support for families affected by Kleefstra syndrome. I want to provide a safe space for parents to share their stories, ask questions, and connect with others who understand what they are going through.
I believe that every child with Kleefstra syndrome deserves the opportunity to reach their full potential. By sharing our experiences and progress, I hope to inspire other families to never give up and keep chasing progress.
Thank you for joining us on this journey. Let’s chase progress together.
